What is a childbirth education class? A childbirth education class is a course designed to prepare you and your partner for labor, birth, and the first few weeks with a newborn. The goal is to provide you with knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate this important life event. We cover everything from the stages of labor to newborn care.
Who should take a childbirth class? These classes are beneficial for anyone expecting a baby, including first-time parents and those who want a refresher. It's highly recommended for both the pregnant person and their birth partner to attend together, as it helps you become a stronger team during labor.
When should I take a childbirth class? The best time to take a childbirth education class is typically during your third trimester, around 28 to 34 weeks of pregnancy. This timing ensures that the information is fresh in your mind as you approach your due date, but still gives you enough time to complete the course and feel prepared.
